Thank you. I will be in The Spirit next August visiting Croatian ports and your report gives some insites. Any restaurant recomendation in Dubrovnik?

I looked at a few restaurants but for decent food the price was high. For example the anchovies I had in Kotor for 8 euro exactly the same dish was 18.5 euros. Maybe look outside the old city and it's tourist prices. When looking I noted that most were eating hamburgers or spaghetti bolognese. Not what I wanted to have.

Up to 75% of buildings in the old town had to be rebuilt after the 1990's war. Dubrovnik was heavily attacke by artillery fire for a considerable period.

What I particularly remember seeing from the wall walk in Dubrovnik was two-toned roofs. The faded parts were old tiles; the bright ones had been replaced after being destroyed in the war. (By the way, I have done the wall walk twice; I don't remember paying anywhere near €35 for it, but may memory may be faulty.)

Looked at a few restaurants but decided against eating in town. Unfortunately no markets on so back to the ship. Rojaan had already eaten lunch so I went to Deck 11 for a pizza. Half 4 cheese and half sausage.

Wind Surf left whilst trivia was on and began raising it's sails. I had time to dart to the window and get a couple of shots.

Hydroelectric power has been produced here for over a Century. The commonly accepted first power stations for commercial were in the early 1980s including Ottawa and Niagara Falls. The first power station here opened 2 days after the Niagara falls and by 1895 their station could produce 3 phase power. amongst the first in the world but Croatia's acheivements are usually not mentioned in any history of hydroelectric power.
