wrk2cruz Posted April 1, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2023 Are taxis available at the Port of Rotterdam? Any recommendations? Our cruise line changed our debarkation port..... Thanks
sansterre Posted April 1, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2023 Water taxis are the way to travel in Rotterdam. We took a water taxi from our cruise ship to the Rotterdam V hotel/museum. BTW the HOHO bus is great in Rotterdam. We went around the city twice because it was so interesting.
Ine Posted April 1, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2023 Yes regular taxis will be available but often expensive. Of course it depends where you want to go and for how long.Uber might be an alternative

SbbquilterUT Posted April 3, 2023 #7 Share Posted April 3, 2023 (edited) Another option up to Amsterdam is the train - nearby and easy to navigate. Edited April 3, 2023 by SbbquilterUT Information
scottbee Posted April 5, 2023 #8 Share Posted April 5, 2023 I'll second the advice of Taxi/Train. Take a taxi to Rotterdam Centraal Station, and catch a train to Schiphol Airport. There are trains constantly, and Rotterdam to Schiphol on the faster trains (leave every 10-15 mins) takes only 25 minutes. At Schiphol Airport you take the escalator up from the platform and you're in the terminal building. To put it in perspective, the driving time is about 45-60 mins from the port to the airport You can get train prices/etc at https://ns.nl/ https://ns.nl/

Depends on exactly which train you end up on, but yes, there's a place to stash luggage when you get on board, there are racks above the seats, and if it's not busy you can just stick your luggage in a seat opposite you.

Not really suitable for large luggage, trolleys will be ok.
