Betty Boat Posted March 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2006 What do you do about tipping if you go to a specialty restaurant?
Rare OceanCruise Posted March 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2006 The fee is supposed to include the gratuity. That being said, we always leave an extra $10 tip because the service is great. Some people leave more, others leave nothing extra.
Merion_Mom Posted March 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2006 I do; you don't have to. They will tell you there that the extra charge ($20, unless you're on the Navigator, then it's $25) includes the gratuity. I, and most others, will say that the service is so extraordinarily good that you WANT to leave these people some extra cash!
LindaandJeff Posted March 12, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2006 The $20 cover charge per person does include the gratuity. Plus, we ordered wine so our bill had another $10.00 gratuity added and then we tipped an extra $10. But in all honesty, the service wasn't any better than our Cascades wait staff. Not that the Portofino waiter was bad, it's just that our Cascades wait staff was great and they knew our likes and dislikes.
