Dinner Reservations

First time on NCL (Pearl), so used to knowing where and when to eat meals.  I have made reservations for the Specialty restaurant because we wanted a specific day.  Do most passengers make reservations at the complimentary restaurants.  Or are there enough options so that there is not a long wait at anytime?

Have never made a reservation for a main dining room.  Usually no line or a very short wait.  At the 5:30 p.m. opening there can be a line, but it moves fairly quickly.  Don’t bother with a reservation and go to dinner at your convenience and when you feel like it.

There are usually lines and a wait at the main dining rooms during peak times (6 to 7:30 ish) just like any other land-based restaurant.  We've never waited more than 15 minutes.  That said, you can make a reservation if you'd like.

Group size also makes a difference.  My DW and I are just off a very full Escape and we never waited for a table for top in the MDRs.  I did see bigger groups (5+) that had brief waits.

If you have a group of 6,7, 8 peeps or more, I would make reservations in the Main Dining Room. Then let the Staff know if you will not be attending the next evening because you are going to another venue.
