Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #76 Share Posted April 15, 2023 First thing on board, we took a sharp left turn and headed straight for Murano. Wanted to book the Veuve Cliquot champagne dinner. They only have eight slots and I was SURE we were too late to snag two slots for us. But…We got it!! We’ve never done this one before, so I’m really looking forward to it.
Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #77 Share Posted April 15, 2023 Sushi on Five opens at noon on boarding day. It’s an additional charge, but such a nice alternative to the madness that is the boarding day buffet situation.
Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #78 Share Posted April 15, 2023 Mark decided to start with the Spicy Mango Tini (one of my favorites). I went with with the Agave Sunrise.
Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #79 Share Posted April 15, 2023 Great restaurant, great food, great view, and a great spot right by the window.
Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #80 Share Posted April 15, 2023 Mark loves the edamame. So started with that. Nice and hot and the perfect amount of salt. Decided on the baked scalloped roll and the spicy tuna and shrimp tempura roll.
Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #81 Share Posted April 15, 2023 Dessert!!!! Mark got the mochi ice cream. (This is his go-to.) I tried the caramelized ginger bread. So yummy.
Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #82 Share Posted April 15, 2023 Made it to the room. We are in a 1A balcony on deck 8 in the aft-side of the mid-ship hump. The slightly angled balcony gives a little more room, and the location is fantastic.
Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #83 Share Posted April 15, 2023 Bathroom is pretty standard. But the shower has a (very) slightly larger footprint than our last Royal Caribbean cruise.
Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #84 Share Posted April 15, 2023 There’s shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel provided by Celebrity. Also lotion and hand soap. If I remember correctly from our last Solstice cruise, the shampoo and conditioner are terrible. If at all possible, bring your own. The shower gel and lotion are not bad though. There’s also a hair dryer. Not sure why it’s in the bathroom though. You’ll need to plug it in at the desk in the room.

Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #91 Share Posted April 15, 2023 The app says our dinner is at 6:00 pm. But the confirmation in or stateroom says 5:45 pm. ☹️
Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #92 Share Posted April 15, 2023 It’s almost 3 pm. I think we will head up to the Sky Observation Lounge and get ready for sail away! 😁
Rare aring75 Posted April 15, 2023 Author #93 Share Posted April 15, 2023 Forgot to mention. Completed the majority of our Muster Station briefing on the Celebrity app while waiting to board. Once we got on the ship, all that was left was to show up at our muster station (dining room- deck 4 for us) and check in. Easy peasy.

And not having to fight the crowds at the buffet?? So much better. Highly recommend! 10 minutes ago, cinderellen said: We love cruising on the pacific coast. Our favorite Celebrity cruise to-date has been the 12-night Alaska out of San Francisco on the Century. So many great memories!
