Saw  this post in the cruise air forum  where the person said they could get flights up to $1100 then had to pay  extra for over that  price ??

Anyone experience this  lately with O air

We booked our own air  so just curious if this is something new  or the person was mistaken ??

They did request specific air  deviation

It sound like the person on the cruise air forum is confusing the air credit one can get if  you decline O's  air as opposed to air included.

I agree  & asked  but he said he booked O air & was charged the price over the $1100

Looks like he  lives in  gateway city (DFW) so  I ruled out the surcharge

Maybe requested  a carrier O does not have contracts with   we have had that  scenario before

 Or maybe just confused 🤔

I was just curious if this was something new with Oceania ..who knows these days  😉

My guess is the $1100 is the O contract air price and anything you accept over that amount for the flights available, you get to pay for. Not sure if it is a R/T credit amount or one way.  It could even be a combination of the Contract Carrier amount and a Premium Economy Upgrade if that was offered.  Still not enough info to give anything definitive, just a lot of suppositions.
Good luck,
