BBC w/Lincoln Center performers 6). Peru performers (when overnight in Peru) 7). Billboard Onboard duo w/Step One 8). Origin Story 9). Welcome Aboard toast During the day, the world stage was also busy: 1). EXC port talks 2). onboard Astronomer 3) History professor lectures on the areas we were traveling 4). Captain's ship weather presentation 5). ask the captain 6). afternoon movie (Panama Canal movie played in the afternoon of the canal transit) 7). new presentation called "A City on the Sea" that was a great behind the scenes presentation and I'm sure other events that I cannot recall....It was non stop and varied entertainment on the world stage....And then when you add in Music Walk, the culinary presentation, etc, etc, and on and on...there was non stop entertainment. Love it all. Edited April 17, 2023 by FlaMariner 4

robotpony Posted April 19, 2023 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2023 On this cruise (Koningsdam, Hawaii), it seems like they are testing out some new acts. The dancers have only 2 nights, and there is a new singing group, and two musical comedians, in addition to more EXC talks. I haven’t seen the BBC Earth program on this itinerary, nor the quartet. Almost all of the shows have been at capacity and people are getting to the venue 30+ minute early.
klsd Posted April 21, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 21, 2023 Entertainment has not recovered from pandemic. Sad list on the Grand Voyage in February/March on Volendam. Those who were on the 1st part of the cruise complained about lack of entertainment. There was 1 standing ovation during my 34 days - the guy was a mime !! Kind of says it all. And his 2nd show wasn't that great. Singers dancers seemed to only have to do 1 show each week. No scenery or costumes, just some lighting changes. Brind your Kindles! Comedian was not a joke - not many laughs. repeated himself a lot - like what should I say now? My 1st grand voyage was not so grand. Wajang played the same movie 3 days out of my 1st 12 onboard - multiple showings each day.
