FrankieJayIII Posted April 17, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2023 I've read the waterfront restaurant at the crest hotel and the cannery are things to do in Prince Rupert. What are your recommendations for Prince Rupert, BC
sharichka Posted April 17, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2023 I'm trying to figure out what we want to do on this stop as well. I'm wondering if it is feasible to do the cannery on our own, as opposed to the ship excursion.
Rare Crew News Posted April 17, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2023 Next month, I will be doing the Marine Wildlife & Historic Lighthouse Cruise with Bald Eagles excursion through Holland America Line. Review and photos when I return.
Urban trekker Posted April 17, 2023 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2023 (edited) If the cannery is located in Port Edward which I think it is - the local bus #60 goes there but it is a very limited service that doesn't run on Sunday or holidays so whether you would have time to fit in a visit and make it back to the ship on time is uncertain. Here's a link to the bus info: https://www.bctransit.com/prince-rupert/schedules-and-maps/alerts?route=60 - this is a better one:https://www.bctransit.com/prince-rupert/schedules-and-maps. disneyochem Posted April 17, 2023 #7 Share Posted April 17, 2023 We’ll be visiting Prince Rupert for the first time this May. I’ve downloaded a self-guided walking tour. We’d like to visit a couple of museums (Northern BC, the railroad) as well as get a bite to eat at Dolly’s. I’ve also heard visiting the cannery is a must—I want to check into the public bus option for our July visit.
