Sports Betting on Carnival Ships

Has anyone seen any updates?  Google still seems to only turn up the same Summer 2022 articles.

It's my understanding that it will not be a physical sport book  but an app that is similar to what people use in states where it's legal. In Arizona it's legal and I use FanDuel and BetMGM. Carnival is partnered up with BetMGM

I just got off the Radiance a couple weeks ago.  There was a BetMGM machine to use.  It was very difficult to use, and the betting odds did not match what I had looked at on the BetMGM website.  Also could not bet player props.

I did not see a sports betting machine or the BetMGM portion on the Carnival Hub App on the Magic 11/12-18.  I did not make it into the non smoking casino location though, so I could have been hidden there, but I figured without it on the app, it almost likely was not on the ship.

I can confirm the above.  In addition, I did make it to the nonsmoking casino on 4 and while there were a couple of kiosks there that could break bills and cash in player banks, I did not see that they could take sports bets.

I was able to use it on the Dream last week.  It is a pretty easy to use kiosk.  You have to get the tickets cashed in at the Casino Cashier.

Thank you kindly.  I'll be on the Dream next month.  I hope the kiosk is still there then. 🙏

I don't see why they would not be there since they just rolled this out.  The one caveat is you are only able to bet on events that end before the cruise ends.

You never know... TPTB might decide to put a slot machine or two in its place, or maybe it'll be taken offline for a few months.  I've seen stranger things happen.

The rule on event betting makes a lot of sense.  I'm sure Carnival doesn't want to deal with winning tickets on events that happen after the cruise, and I'm sure most passengers don't want to deal with them either.
