After we check in to our cruise and get on the ship, is there anywhere we are allowed to stow our luggage until our cabin is ready?

Viking people take it from you as you enter the dock check in and it magically reappears in your cabin later!

If you hand carried it on to the ship you can ask one of the "greeters" if it can be sent to your cabin. Make sure it is tagged with the cabin number.

Take them to your cabin if you aren't willing to turn them over to the crew for delivery. Just let them know about the breakables.

If your cabin is ready for occupancy at that point, you can move in; you do not have to wait for the time stated on your invoice.

If it is not ready for occupancy, then may I suggest the pool grill for lunch (Deck 7) or the Living Room Bar (Deck 1) for continental breakfast. You can leave your still-packed bags in the room; the stewards will work around them.

How about if you are bringing on board bottles of wine?

Not a problem.  We brought almost a full case of wine onboard the South American cruise, that we had purchased in vineyards on the way to Valparaiso.  When we were met by Viking at check in, all our luggage…..including the wine…..wound up in the room.

We are about to embark on our second Viking cruise but as the first was pre Covid we have forgotten about many of the arrangements. We cannot remember if we store our luggage in the cabin?
Our choice of stateroom does not include free laundry. Previously on a long cruise with sea days I used the laundrette.  As we are signed up for a post cruise extension we would like to disembark with clean clothes. Presumably it is possible to pay for laundry service?

Luggage fits under the bed easily.

There are laundry facilities you can use, or you can send your clothes out for a charge.

Do check out the timing, though.  Regular laundry service takes 2 days, and you can pay extra for same day service.  Check with your room steward about same day service the day before disembarkation as I once was told it wasn't available.
