Don't miss food on Norwegian (Spirit)

Does Norwegian do any dishes especially well that people try not to miss?

 

I'm thinking something like bread pudding on Holland.

If you like Indian (which I do!) I don't think any line does it better than NCL.  It was so good on our Bliss cruise recently that I barely ate anything else.  The Rubens in the Local are also outstanding as was the filet topped with foie gras and the Dover sole at Le Bistro.

Filet mignon and 7 layer chocolate cake at Cagney’s 

Escargot, Dover Sole and Marquise au Chocolat at Le Bistro while enjoying Veuve Clicquot

Hashbrowns and corned beef hash at breakfast 

Fire cracker shrimp at Ocean Blue

Fried rice at Teppanyaki 

Chicken legs at Moderno

Almond croissant at the Haven or Moderno when in a suite 

 

We used to love the wings at O’Sheehans/the Local but they changed the recipe. Also loved their watermelon salad with feta cheese but they no longer offer it.

I second @Travelling2Some, the Indian dishes on the buffet...fantastic🤤

 

I suppose it should not be surprising considering that every Executive Chef (that I know of) on our 4 NCL cruises has been Indian, along with a lot of the kitchen staff - stands to reason they might know what they are doing 😉

I'll deviate slightly - the breaded haddock that is on the 'classics' side of the MDR menus is really good.  I've had it 2x on each of a couple different trips (on different ships), it's generally been really good.

 

The sole at Le Bistro is really good, I second that entire meal, except I do the French Onion Soup instead of the escargot.

Now that you mention it, they weren't as good on our last trip, the wings themselves seemed to be a lower quality 😞

 

What I am a bit pissed off about is the Osso Buco in la Cucina is now done with lamb shank...I expect a proper veal shank or don't call it Osso Bucco 😞
