Celebrity casino question

Hello - we are new to cruising and have a question about the casino.  If you win money (fingers crossed). How is the reward (money) rewarded. (ie: cash, check, cruise credit)

Ticket which you redeem for cash for Slots. Chips for table games.

Take your chips or winning slip to the casino cashier, you will get cash…I’m not sure about a huge win…I have never cashed more than $1000. in chips at a time..

Cash.  They would only write a check if the cash amount is $10K+ but I'm no longer sure if they're still doing that

Will be cash, term is known as "Hand Pay" where a casino employee comes over to "verify" the machine...Primary reason for this is so others in the casino see a big win...I'm not a slot player so am not sure what the win amount needs to be, probably $1000-$1500

$1200+, and the reason is two fold, for one, yes they verify the machine didn't malfunction, but they also have to give tax forms to U.S. persons (W-2-G) to make sure the tax man gets his share. Foreigners, however, won't have to pay or declare contrary to Las Vegas, where they withhold 40% from Non-US persons.

I was wondering if taxes were a reason.  Oddly enough, I saw this sign which is about anti-laundering and not taxes; seems that X doesn't track casino $$$ for customs purposes.  Yet this sign is technically incorrect as you're supposed to file when you're carrying $10K+ off the ship, so if you did 3 $5K room charges for a total of $15K, gambled all cruise long, lost $4500 total and walked off the ship with $10,500 you're still supposed to file a customs form despite losing

Filing with the IRS for tax purposes and simply declaring it to customs are two different things, of course. As far as room charges to the credit card are concerned, at least carry a printed folio that shows the withdrawals. Civil asset forfeiture is my main concern here, the government is desperate these days.

Wife won a thousand a video poker, they came to the machine and gave her a thousand in hundred dollar bills and it was on her birthday, great present.
