Casino Royale Prime

I have been looking into the Royal Caribbean Casino Royale club and have done some digging around the internet to try to determine what the "average" out of pocket cost is to hit Prime status. While I know this varies greatly on what machines, etc., but I have read some posts that it generally will cost between $1,500-$3,000. I have even seen some on the internet saying as much as $5,000. Is there an average, or can some of you share your personal experience?

Also, if we are to join Prime, is there a better time of the year to do this, based on the yearly calendar that they use?

Thank you.

$5 in = 1 point on slots, $10 in = 1 point on video poker  -  2500 points for Prime can be earned over multiple cruises but benefits (free drinks in the casino) won't be in effect until the 2500 is achieved. This can occur mid-cruise. Just go to the Host desk and they will put a sticker on your Sea Pass card. FYI the $ in includes replay of wins as well as free play and cash out of pocket. How quickly you earn the points needed depends on how much cash or free play you put in and whether you're winning at all. The "casino year" goes from April 1 to March 31. Prime or whatever level you achieve in one "casino year" continues until the end of the next "casino year" - say you earn Prime in November 2023 it will continue until March 31, 2025. If I didn't cover everything or gave incorrect info someone else can chime in.

Thanks.

Any idea the bank roll, or out of pocket "average" to achieve prime? I see many examples on the internet, and was just wondering what people are here think or average.

Taking from a mathematical point of view. Bringing $2000 and placing it on an electronic roulette table where there are 38 numbers, return of 1 - 36. You will reach 2500 points cycling through your money and be left with $678.27.

Theoretically that is.

Not to be a wise guy, but I would be willing to bet (see what I did there?) that no one that is prime ever gave it one minutes thought as to what it would cost to get there. If you play, you play. I have watched some people play a slot machine for $10.00 a spin sit there and hit the button as fast as they can hit it. I suspect they make Prime in one night. I also suspect that making Prime was the last thing on their mind....

I would disagree, as I have seen discussion on Reddit, etc on this. However, I do agree with you that people do just play, but I am just wanting to make sure we bring enough cash, and just wanted some peoples thoughts.

At the end of the day, some probably just spend whatever and it happens, but I am sure some also looked at what it cost them, as they are doing it strictly for the benefits for ROI purposes. I personally fall in between.

Cayman!...ok seriously if you just want to make Prime, just play the slots. They give way more points than table play. If you play 2 bucks a spin you will make Prime faster than playing $25 bucks a hand blackjack by a factor of 3 or 4.

Slots give you a 1 point per every $5 of action. The outcome maybe you hit Prime and still won some money, or lose a theoretical 12.5k.

ETG Roulette as I have mentioned, should required 1.3+k to farm Prime if such bets are allowed. Not sure, have not played that way and interested to know.

So one is a gamble and the other is paying for Prime. Take your pick.

I was just gambling to gamble and made prime in 1 day.

Over the course of a weekend i got almost 15k tier points. i was winning which made it a lot easier.

I am a table games player and i did put in a pretty decent amount of time at the tables.

Imo if your gambling just to make a tier, just pay for whatever you want it usually works out cheaper in the long run

With a payout rate of 86% for slots, the statistical average “loss” is $1750. I spent $1670 to hit prime my first time. What differs between slots is the volatility, or how likely you are to stick close to that average.
