Can someone recommend a company to get us from the Holiday inn express in Athens to Celebrity's cruise pier?

If you are at HI Airport, perhaps their shuttle could take you to the Peania - Kantza (Blue) metro station---which terminates in Piaeus.  It was a 5€ cab to the cruise terminal from there.

we used NIKOS, +30 6907764126 (whatsapp) and he only charged us 20 euros from our hotel  in downtown Athens, to the pier.  He was trustworthy and spoke English!

You can simply ask the hotel to get you a taxi.  Just make sure you agree on the fare before you get in the taxi.  The fares (if you are not cheated) from Athens to Pireaus are quite reasonable.

Do all taxis in Athens except euros? Does anyone have an idea on an estimated cost from the Electra Metropolis to the port?

Euros are the legal tender of Greece.  

The fare should be 20-25 euros.

Yes, I know that is the legal tender, but I just wanted to make sure that there are not some taxi companies that will take credit card only.  Thank you for that info.

All taxis take cash. Most take credit cards.
