Hi, First time Princess cruiser.

Sailing Island Princess in August and tried to reserve specialty dining in app (trip paid for). It is only asking for C/C. Is there a way to use my Shareholder OBC to pay for specialty dining? THANKS!

No.  You can book it once OB by calling the dine line from your cabin or stopping by the SD restaurant.  It will then come out of your OBC.

I asked this very question in the Princess chat last week since I was trying to make reservations for a family group of 8 in the Crown Grill on our upcoming Caribbean Princess cruise.  We all have lots of OBC.  I was told to go to Guest Services after boarding and ask them to refund the credit card payment and charge OBC.  We will see if that works in 5 weeks.  I saved a copy of the chat transcript for what it is worth.  I'll try to remember to come back and update this post.

AFAIK, the ship cannot generate a refund to credit card.  I would think all they can/will do is generate Refundable OBC for the cancellation and then guest can re-book on board in which case the cost can be paid with Non-Refundable OBC since that is consumed before Refundable OBC.

That would work!  As i said, we shall see.  I'm certainly not holding my breath.
