Just received a certificate for an Inside Select-Orange NCL cruise from Foxwoods. Does anyone know what this means? I know I can pay for an upgrade. Just wondering where I can go etc. Not picking up the certificate till 6/16.

(haven't been to Foxwoods in a couple of years. Must want me back lol.

There will be specific cruise/ dates to choose from.  Remember their Free at Sea package isnt really free.  They charge gratuity which is about $300 for 7 day cruise.  Plus there is an administration fee of $10 or $20 pp/day.  The add port charges and taxes.   Last “free” we looked at was $1300 for 7 days.

Thank you. Maybe better than paying $799 or some number for inside and then paying all those fees, I suppose. We haven't been on NCL in about 20 years and want to try again. Also realize that Foxwoods won't be free when we pick up the certificate lol

Theoretically speaking: If you took a cruise from NY or Boston to Bermuda, port fees and taxes will be approx. $550.00; admin fee of $20.00 p/d x 2=$280.00; daily service charge of $20.00 p/d x 2=$280.00; 20% gratuity on beverage package $152.60 x 2= $305.20; approx. $20,00 gratuity on your one specialty restaurant. The "free" cruise now costs about $1425.00. That's before you tip your steward or anyone else, before you buy insurance, and before you've spent a dime in the casino!!

Cheaper than paying full freight? Definitely. But free? Definitely not!! Happy cruising!!

You're getting your cabin for free plus the $20/night per person admin fee, vs paying retail for the cabin.  Every other charge mentioned above would be incurred if you paid retail for the cabin.  You don't have to select the beverage package or the specialty dining which would avoid the gratuities on those.

My recent cruise NY to Bermuda on the Joy was $1,800 pp retail for inside cabin.  I was solo so only paid the admin fee of $140 for the week.  Everyone pays port charges so that was $298.  My total was $438 for one vs $2,098 retail to get on the ship.  Everything else is a choice besides the daily hotel/surcharge of $20/night.  I upgrade the $150 min. Wifi and bought third party travel insurance. You van use CruiseNext certificates as well.
