Late October Weather

Have a cruise this October leaving NY October 29.  How will the weather be going and returning from Bermuda?  More specifically, the temperature.  Will we be able to use the outdoor pools and water slides on the ship or will it be too cold?  Thanks

First off, weather is impossible to predict. Generally speaking, on your first day out and last day returning to NYC it will most likely be too cold-- you'll essentially have the weather of New York.

Obviously it will get warmer as you get towards Bermuda-- but keep in mind you are only really going as far South as North Carolina. Average highs when in Bermuda that time of year are going to be mid to low 70s during the day and into the low 60s at night. We've had significant fog while at sea during this time of year on this trip as you transverse from colder to warmer.

In November average water temp in Bermuda also drops into the low 70s (from the 80s in Sept/Oct) so swimming in the ocean may prove problematic unless you are a bit hearty. Locals typically aren't going to the beach starting in November.

Thanks for the response.  That is what I thought. 😒

It's an absolutely lovely time to visit Bermuda-- one of our favorites in fact. Temps aren't as high as they are in the summer and the humidity is in check. But just not for a beach/swimming sort of vacation time there.

It is our favorite time of year to cruise there. Great temps, little to no humidity. Recently retired and had planned two cruises to Bermuda a year, one in April and the other in Late October/early November. However, after 2022 NCL is no longer doing Bermuda cruises from Boston in the fall. Which means we'll either have to drive to New York ( we avoid flying unless we can't!) or cruise a competitor to NCL, and there aren't many that cruise from Beantown. First world problems!!
