Outlets on ships?

Hi Everyone,

 

First time on MSC. Sailing on Splendida soon. I wanted to know.... are there North American outlets in the ship cabins? Or should I bring my own converters?

Yes and still bring your converter. That will give use on an extra outlet.

Two North American and two EU.  But the outlets are very close to the desk top, and the US outlets are sideways.  EM

I always bring a power strip with 6 outlets on it. Never can have too many!

(phone, wife's phone, camera, laptop, etc!)

Also note that if you bring a laptop and plan to plug it in anywhere on the ship, the MSC Seaside only had European outlets in all the public spaces. I would bring at least two converters with you and another one if you plan to set up somewhere for a while with a device that requires power. 

 

In the cabin I bring a 10 port USB powered hub so I can charge all my devices with just one power outlet that negates the need for a power strip. Phones, GoPro batteries, Camera, Camera Battery Kindle, etc.. I used one of the EU Converters for that.

Definitely bring a converter. I have this one that gives me two extra US outlets and some extra USB ports:
