I've looked through old shareholder benefit threads but not found this. If you're doing a b2b can you send both forms together? Or does each have to be a separate email.

I would always send them separately.  Even then you could have trouble.  I had 2 different cruises to Mexico last year and I had to send the request 3 times before they noticed that the cruises were different.

I have done several B2B and I always send them separately.  The responses I received have always been specific to each Reservation # which in turn is assigned a specific case number.  I know sometimes a B2B can be booked under a single reservation which I would think gets only 1 Shareholder Benefit.  Perhaps someone will chime in that has first hand knowledge on that twist.

I am booked on back to back 10 day cruises under the same reservation number. How does that work on the ship. Are there two separate accounts, one for each 10 day cruise or do I have one account for the whole 20 days?  Likewise, since I am on a 20 days cruise the benefit is $250. How is this applied? If I only have one bill for the whole 20 days, then it is simple. If it is two then I assume they apply the OBC to each segment $125 for each 10 days cruise??

 

Likewise, I have the "FAS Dining Package Upgrade – 2 meals" and "1 Meal Speciality Dining Package" times two. This is a total of 6 Speciality meals for the 20 days. (I paid double the price for one 10 day cruise.) So, if I only use 2 the first 10 days will the remaining meal carry over to the next cruise or will I lose it?

With one booking number you still have two separate cruises. While I've sometimes been able to have this as one account (doesnt hurt to ask), usually they close the account at end of first cruise and start all over.

You have 2 - 10 days cruises. You will receive $100 for each cruise. I have never had them count this as a 20day cruise. I've always had two applications for two $100 benefits - NOT $250. I have seen others who have had different experiences when they had one booking number, but you will know when you submit for the benefit. The amount you have approved shows upon your cruise summary online. And no carry over of benefit. If you don't use all the !00 on the first cruise you lose the non-refundable credit.

On Carnival I always got the full $250 even when they were two different Booking numbers with a total of 14 days. They would put $100 OBC on one cruise and $150 on the other. So Here I am on a 20 day cruise and they count it as two 10 day cruises. So on my invoice it will show an OBC of $200 instead of $250?? So a 20 day cruise with one booking number is still considered less than one 14 day cruise. It will be interesting what the invoice says. I will certainly advertise that NCL's Shareholder benefit is not nearly as good as Carnivals if what you say is true. I looked up my old boarding documents for Carnival to verify that I indeed got $100 on one and $150 for the other. The only cruise line where I have one booking number for two cruise has been NCL. I didn't have any Specialty meals or OBCs the last time(s). On Carnival since the other cruises have always been charters it wouldn't be possible to join them. Also Carnival has a support line for the Shareholder benefit and NCL does not, so I can't even call NCL to ask them.  Do charters get the shareholder benefit?  I will also be on a charter on NCL in 2025.

In addition, (too late to edit last post): I should also tell you that NCL Customer service said essentially the opposite of what you said, but, I do not believe them and I do believe what you are saying. (Not that it makes me happy.) In all likelihood, I will do as you do and book it as two separate cruises in the future, if it becomes clear there are no advantages to booking them as one. With Carnival at least with the Shareholder benefit, even if it were possible, which I don't know, there is no benefit to booking as one since you still get the full $250. With Carnival, I always have submitted both cruises at the same time specifically requesting the full $250 OBC and they have always given me the full $250. Carnival doesn't use a form, you only write a letter with your request. BTW Carnival does again accept emails, they had stopped that for a long time.

 

Aside from these issues, NCL has been my favorite cruise line.

I love cruising and have enjoyed every cruise ive ever taken with every cruise line. But no company is perfect. My shipboard experiences with NCL will keep me cruising with them. But I freely admit that the land-based company has issues. If you call with a question you can get a different response every time you ask a question. If you were told it may be considered and have enough time to get response and then apply again, I would go ahead and apply for 250. Then if they deny it (my experience) you can still reapply for the separate cruises.

Same issue here. We had two distinct bookings for the B2B and sent our requests separately; one was processed quickly and the other was ignored. We finally had to send it again.

I did a back to back in June and put both reservations on one form.  I received the $100 on board credit on both cruises.

I sent in 3 separate requests in one email when I had b2b2b, and all were processed with no problems.  I noted the 3 different reservation numbers in the subject line.

In my case I have one reservation number for my back to back 20 total day cruise. So, will I get only $100 for a 20 day cruise or will I get $200 or $250? I really have no idea. We will see. Then, worst case, I just sell my shares and never have to worry about it again.  I will report back here.

You get 100 for each cruise less than 15 days. 250 for 15+ days. I cruise 5-6 times per year now that I'm retired. So for me the return on investment is fantastic. Since I've stuck with NCL since I got the stock its  good for NCL
