Embark Time = boarding time or depart time?

Sorry for the newbie question, but I've never been on NCL.  I'm looking at a NCL cruise on Norwegian Star Aug 4 departing Tromso.  The listing says "Embark: 8:00pm".  Is that the departure time, boarding cutoff time or when boarding starts.

Also, what might I expect as far as dinner served that evening?

Thanks.

It just wasn't specific about that, I'm sure if I booked it, they would give me more details.

Thanks.  I'll plan on boarding before 6pm if I book it.  I like the price but thin it might be a little cold for 10 days!!! LOL

Not to be snarky, but yes, that would help -- but then again, maybe not. It is NCL. 😄

On your link, the ship leaves at 8:00 pm.

All aboard is 6:00 pm. That is the last time to arrive and check-in and board.

All restaurants will be open until around 9:00. MDR, Specialty, Buffet.

O’Sheehan’s should be open 24/7.

Most people will board in time for lunch.
