Casino offer questions

I was recently on Emerald Princess and received a casino offer prior to disembarking for sailings through Jan 20, 2024.  That date appears to be a rough 7 month window after my cruise.  Bummer, as that's too soon (take a cruise or get fired from job?).  Instead, I'd like to book something in February or March 2024. 

 

I've got two questions for you experts:

 

  1. Prior to calling the number provided to inquire about February or March, I'm curious as to what I should expect:  Are they pretty firm on the dates or have they been flexible?
  2. If I should try to take advantage of something within the 7 month window on my offer, is it easier to navigate the website and book it myself using the code or do you find making the phone call and dealing with a casino booking person better?  If so, why?

We have found that our disembarkation offer is about the same (sometimes worse) in value than the follow up offers they send out following the cruise.

 

not sure if everyone gets them, but we usually receive an offer every other month.  Those offers typically also have a farther out window for bookings (except for the VIP sailings which usually provide a 3-7 month window).

 

We’ve always found them to be sticklers for the offer terms - no adjustments or exceptions allowed.

 

coming off our previous cruise, my Mom suddenly stopped receiving offers, even though she usually gets better offers than we do, and we all had just sailed.  When contacting the casino group to see if she had any offers so she could join us on our next sailing, they said nothing was available, but she would receive really good offers after her next sailing.  It made no sense why she was suddenly not on the promotion list.

We have the same issue and will be calling on Monday.  We have cruises booked though the fall and are wanting to use ours for a cruise 9 days after the last date. Plan to be very polite and they will see that we have 52 cruises and always upgrade to full suites from our free balcony or inside. I am betting they will have to get a ok from upper management

Good lucky calling... With the oversea's call center the people who answer your call have ABSOLUTELY NO authoity to make any changes or concessions on any offers or requirements for future or existing bookings, so if it doesn't appear exactly as written on the computer screen in front of them it doesn't happen

Only time will tell. They sure can upgrade to suites and add Princess plus

We’ve only been allowed to book within the timeframe window. I’m sailing tomorrow to Alaska on a free cruise offer I received after my Easter sailing on Sapphire Princess. After that cruise, my promotions via emails stopped, once I booked the free cruise. Don’t know why that is, since I did the Caribbean Princess in May, and definitely, should have earned some promotions or another free cruise based on my casino play. We’ll see if I start receiving offers again after this cruise. But I’ve only been allowed to book my free cruises or with my free casino play during the 7 month window.
