I HATE the noisy show Viking is putting on at some ports. Do you?

Regardless of the comments here, Viking do this as a Celebration of US - their guests.

 

They are welcoming us back on board.  

 

We personally have been disappointed on some Ocean voyages when it has not happened.

 

Our Cabin Stewards told us they love doing it and they were thrilled when we spotted them and called out to them.

 

To each his/her/their own and I can understand if some don't enjoy this.

 

Some have made it sound like it is exploitation of the crew.  That I don't think is the case.

 

That is just my/our opinion.

Anyone who has worked front of house will have a fairly good idea what the crew/staff think of it

I have been lurking on this board for quite a while but seldom comment. But I have noticed that it is the same few people who frequently comment negatively to other subjects on this forum, who are repulsed or cynical about the genuine nature of this welcome back on board.

Negative people can find fault in almost everything.

I choose to be positive.

And yes, I have worked front of house in the service industry.

Well put!  I was thinking the same thing.  I also prefer to be positive but certainly others have their right to be negative or cynical.

It did strike me that I recognized many Cruise Critic handles who are nearly always and routinely negative or cynical about so many posts dealing with Viking.  Maybe that's just the way they live their lives.

Wow - this subject stuck a nerve with people at extremes - almost like politics these days.

Actually a bit surprised by it all.
