CAS Boarding Area

We have booked a cruise through Casinos at Sea departing from Miami.  I noticed on the website it lists "Casinos at Sea Embarkation" as a benefit.  Can someone tell me what this is?  Do we get our own waiting area before boarding?  Priority boarding of some sort?  Just wondering what this means lol.

It means nothing.

 

In Miami, there is a check-in line for casino guests. If they did it right, which they don't, they would give you a low boarding group number. The only port that used to offer priority embarkation was New York. 

 

On our last few cruises, CAS and top-tier Latitudes were the same, long, line.

looks like it doesn't offer much benefit if you're there before boarding begins.  I like to get to the port around Noon (to avoid waiting around the check in area), and the benefit of the CAS line is it's usually near empty so you can go right to the front to check-in, then head straight onto the ship.

Thanks for this bit of advice.  Sounds like a great idea.

     Boston had a dedicated CAS check-in line for years and years. After security, we were directed to a special CAS line and after being checked in, always received Group A boarding passes. Group A was third group on the ship after Haven and mobility impaired folks.

  My DW now uses a rollator when faced with walking long distances, such as a ship. So we now go through a special security line and check-in line for mobility impaired.

   So not sure if there is still a CAS check-in line in Boston, but can attest that there WAS one.

Ironically, in NY, the CAS check-in line was at the far end of the pier.  Seemed like an endless schlep (with a friend who had mobility issues.)  I've found the CAS line to be generally shorter, which is nice, but no boarding perks aside from that.  Even Latitudes, though you can board early, you're sitting among the "unwashed masses" 🤣  As far as I'm aware, only Haven has a special boarding area.
