Deluxe Balcony vs Premium Deluxe Balcony

I’m aware that a Deluxe Balcony has a sofa. What makes it a Premium? Location?

or sometimes a larger balcony like on the Sky Princess Dolphin deck aft and forward.

deluxe has loveseat size sofa

mini suite has full size sofa

 

not sure the size of premium

 

we got a deluxe once and won't get it again.  the sofa was not comfortable

Premium Deluxe Balconies, Category D4, are the aft facing deluxe balconies on all Royal Class ships.  They have the added loveseat but also feature larger balconies.  On the Majestic and newer Royal Class ships, there were a few of these added to port and starboard aft of the Dolphin Deck; no aft view, but larger balconies.

No view of the wake.  View is either port or starboard like any other balcony on the side.

I've stayed in both deluxe and premium deluxe balcony cabins on Sky. There was no difference inside the cabin. In general the premium deluxe cabins have a larger balcony.

 

In addition to the partial deck plan image in post #7, there are also premium deluxe balcony cabins forward on deck 9 (cabins D145-D225) as well as wake view premium deluxe balcony cabins on the other decks. On the deck plans it looks like some of those wake view cabins may not have larger balconies.
