Transatlantic then Scotland

Recommended Posts

You'd hope it should be a little better in May. But it's going to be marginal for a three week  difference, IMO. And, as ever with our spring weather, unpredictable and changeable.

I f you ever want to start a conversation with anyone in the UK, talk about the weather. No guarantee either way. It could be anything from blazing sunshine to 2 feet of snow! (well, a couple of inches anyway!)

Is the weather in Scotland much different in late April versus mid May?

Three weeks difference.

I am trying to decide between two transatlantic sailings. Thanks.

A three hour difference can be huge!

Nothing here is predictable; it's all about probabilities.  The probability of better weather is a bit greater in mid-May.  But in any one year, it could easily be significantly worse.

Sorry, in advance, if it is!

For some detail, You could try comparing different months over a few years here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/monthly/gb/edinburgh/EGPH/date/2022-4
