Casino and upgrades

Booked mini suite through the casino ( free balcony and they wouldn’t let me upgrade any higher). Would like to cruise Club class and put bids in for club class mini and suites. Pretty substantial for the mini. Haven’t heard anything and 35 days out. Looked online and ship say sold out for all better than an inside. Any hope?

Depends how far out you are from sailing. If it is before final payment there may be some suites coming back from travel agents

I wouldn’t hold my breath. That is a very popular cruise that does not run all the time

I guess I’ll just have to spend the saved money in the casino

Did you try to use the upgrade link on the Princess website to see if you are eligible for an upgrade?  It could be that the email inviting you to bid was never sent or didn’t get delivered. Or if you just booked it could be that your booking didn’t go to the company that runs the upgrade process yet.

You might have missed this in the OP. I believe they have put in bids already for minis and suites, but asking since cruise is 35 days from sailing, what are the chances of success.

Whoops yes. Sorry about that!

 

No idea of chances as it varies but we were notified that our bid was accepted for a PH suite 8 days before the cruise. This was for a free casino cruise that we had paid to upgrade to a mini suite at the time of booking. And from the time we put in the bid (85 days before the cruise) until we got the upgrade suites were shown as sold out. So anything is possible.
