Dress code for restaurants Moorea and Tahiti ..

I know not exactly "cruise" related (well it is because it would be for prior to a cruise 😀) but as there are many repeat travelers to Tahiti, might anyone tell me if there is a dress code at restaurants (like Rudys on Moorea for example) - are shorts and t-shirt (nice one) OK for men or would it be long pants and polo (I don't think so but best to ask)

I wear long pants to ward off mosquitos. Many were wearing shirts and a tee shirt. Rudy’s is our favorite restaurant. With 4 nights on Moorea we ate there twice
