Getting home was a bit of a cluster.  We walked up the Horseshoe Bay hill and I looked past the 7 dollar taxi vans with longing, but we had bus passes darn it and we were going to use them.   After about 35 minutes, the first bus came but the driver claimed he was not the correct bus.  Finally, the right bus came and it was packed. It let off two people so it would only let on two people.  We argued with the bus driver to at least let on the poor local women who had been waiting with us and had to go to work!  I called it at that point and we started walking back down the hill to those enticing seven dollar vans.  One drove by as I was a quarter of the way back down the hill and I started waving like a crazy person and they pulled over.  I guess another couple wanted to go to

a different beach and hopped out so we could hop on.   After that, the trip home was uneventful and we came straight back to the top deck for something boozy caffeinated.

Dinner was lovely!  We did the pesto pasta and the cioppino for starters then the chicken Kiev for mains.  Snuck away for the sunset but clouds just coveted the skyline.  Chocolate soufflé and rum cake for dessert.  (Eaten before pics) We seemed to have the dream team for waiters with Law, Joseph, and John… (supposedly a chef and fitness trainer—according to the Maitre D).

A little birthday card from our Butler for my Mom.  He originally said he wouldn’t do anything, but I know for sure other Butlers did.  She’s been celebrated to the max so it’s no big deal.  He’s been fine.   We ordered cappuccinos the first morning and then he reminded us we had our own nespresso machine and that kind of set a wrong note… but he could have been trying to be helpful.   He hasn’t really done anything we haven’t asked, but has been quick to do anything we ask.   We aren’t great “askers” so we haven’t really interacted with him all that much.  I will say some of the other Butler's have been super lovely.  The MaitreD and the waitstaff have all been lovely.

Oh I didn’t do great at dinner ate before taking pics.  We had the Chinese dumplings, the duck paparadelle and the butter chicken.  All were good.  I think the duck was the best.   Chocolate duo and coconut cake for dessert.  The chocolate duo was the better of the two.

I’m slowing down folks.   Major lifestyle changes needs to be made when I get back home.

My Mom and I did our best to stay up for White Night.  The crowd was really into it.  You don’t see much of the cruise director, but the head of the entertainment team, Graham from South Africa, is everywhere and he’s SO tall you can see him from everywhere!  He put so much energy into the party that the crowd had no other choice but to follow.   They did dance songs and dances from around “the World”. Nothing super authentic or anything but fun.

High recommend the Mango Tropical drink.  It’s blended and minty.   Sun was bright today despite the glass guards.   I think that I just barely kept myself from burning.  I tore myself away from the Sun deck to go to afternoon tea.   Finally, we spent the late afternoon packing and getting ready for our last dinner.
