children card spend restriction

I know it has been on this forum before but I cannot find it now. Can anyone please advise if I can restrict the spending power of a teenage child using their card onboard?

Ideally, I would like to give them so much every few days. Is this something that can be arranged with customer service desk? Has anyone experienced this?

I think that all you can do is have a daily spend limit applied to the card - but there is probably nothing to ask to have that limit changed if your child needs more on one day for some reason.

I put some cash on our grandchildrens cards when we were on Iona last year.  Went to reception desk and paid in cash there and put that as their limit.
