Rare cruisemom42 Posted September 29, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2023 I'm curious whether visitors to Istanbul can inform me whether Azamara offers a shuttle (free or for charge) to the main tourist area of Sultanahmet? I know how to use the tram and have done it in the past but with the new Galataport it seems that it is a farther walk and passengers need Turkish lira to buy a ticket. Has anyone got experience from the last 18 months or so to share?
El_Snocat Posted September 29, 2023 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2023 We were in Istanbul August 14-15 on Quest. There was no shuttle service provided to anywhere. We took the tram with a guide. Hope this helps. 1
G2G Posted September 30, 2023 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2023 I was there in June & didn’t find it too far to walk. I enjoyed looking at the shops and cafes outside of the terminal. You can use your card to buy a ticket and there was a tram employee at the booth who helped if people had problems buying tickets.
