amurray88 Posted October 13, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2023 Hi all, Considering doing the Euriba from Southampton on 22nd March...has anyone cruised around this time before? What can I expect weather-wise 🙈. Thanks!
KINGBOBOFTHENORTH Posted October 14, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2023 I'm taking this cruise during the first week of December. I think you're going to find it's going to be COLD. But in late March there's always the possibility of a sunny day or two; more likely for you in March than for me in December. But wow, what a great set of ports! Rare insidecabin Posted October 14, 2023 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2023 We did B2B Virtuosa 3-17 March This is what I wrote on the 10 March end of first leg on the FB group. "Good week, seas were calm, just a little chilly to get the best from the ports" This was 8 March Rotterdam, "Just walked across deck 15. 0c and trying to snow could be a virtual sea day if it stays like this" 5th march Sunday Hamburg lot of stuff closed no nearby public trans we walked to and through the Elb Tunnel. It started snowing so we came back. 6th march midnight good coating of snow/slush on open deck. I remember it improved following week we had a good day in Rotterdam. We were YC but the did not use the deck area too cold. The cruises got hit by French strikes(Le Havre). Second leg did not get back into Southampton till midday so consider onward travel carefully. Southampton Horizon terminal they had been starting security 10am over winter( when no delay). Don't know if they have kept to that schedule during the summer. We did miniature wonderland one visit it's indoors so good for a nasty weather day.

Am aware most things in Hamburg will be closed and had considered taking a train to Berlin where it's one of their "Shopping Sundays". In the end, taking a train to Kiel where we discovered an awesome German restaurant a couple years ago and will return there for a nice lunch. It is open on Sundays. amurray88 Posted October 14, 2023 Author #6 Share Posted October 14, 2023 Oh man, I do like a dip in the pool so maybe this isn't the best cruise for me and my wee 3 month old baby 😂 thank you!

I’m assuming your baby is 3 months now, and will be six months by the time you cruise? EM
