Is the last cabin on a ship a bad cabin?

Is this for sure... the elevators are behind that big white area

I researched C710 before booking it for a cruise.  One cruiser here on CC replied to my inquiries that they had booked C710 and were never bothered by noise from whatever is in that mystery white space.

Looking at the deck plans there seems to be a white space aft of the aft elevators on every floor and if you look a photos of the ship, it looks like that's where the smokestacks run from the engine room upwards and out.

C710 has it's own little corridor and is close, but not too close, to the laundromat.

thank you for doing that. So if that is true it might be fine for us to book but sadly our friends who will only cruise with a balcony as she is claustrophobic, have no good options. Only deck 12 under the pool or another deck under restaurants and casino.  She won't do a guarantee as its nin refundable and she wants to know where she will be.

The other couple also wants an interior and might be ok beside the laundry. Not sure. Other than that room just a frlew others on deck 5 below noisy areas.

We will discuss but  everyone is so busy we can't till Sunday so will be too late I am sure. We shall see

Thank you for checking that out. Did you say you were booking C710?

So, since my last post a balcony in a good spot opened up so I grabbed 710 and thanks to all I am ok with that

O told my friend to grab 714 but an hour later it was gone so he got stuck with 514 but seems ok with that. The others somehow got a balcony on 9 they did not say which one as it was not the one on 11 that I saw. I guess people cancel or princess holds on to a few and opens them up as time goes on? In any case for the moment we are going. Thanks for all your help! I don't think I would have persisted if not for those on this post.

I have a ton more questions but will post for each topic.

We only book balcony or mini suite cabins on the port side towards the very back of ships. We stay away from Starboard as many ships allow smoking on Deck 7 on that side and we do not want smoke hitting us depending on the wind.   We like the cabins in that location as we can make quick trip up to the Buffet in the morning or basically anytime grab some hot water for our coffee or tea.  We always try to book a couple of floors down from the Buffet so we can simply walk up and down.  Also, we like to watch the wake and a cabin at the back of the ship allows for easy access to Deck 16 and the outside tables on that Deck.  On the Royal Class of ships, we stay away from wake facing cabins as up on Deck 17 smoking is permitted!!!  Never had an issue with motion sickness in the Port Back cabins.  We try to stay away from cabins too close to the front of the ship as we have found they can for some reason have a lot of sand or grit on the balconies.
