mel8kri Posted November 3, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2023 If I but a future cruise deposit on my cruise next week, will my TA (big box) apply it to an existing reservation? We want to get the OBC.
skynight Posted November 3, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2023 It is for new bookings. Your TA can cancel your current booking and apply the $100 deposit to a new booking. You would have to decide if you want your current deposit back or applied as payment toward the new booking number. You will have to do the math to see what is best. rebeccac Posted November 3, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2023 Here are the terms and conditions from the bottom of a future cruise deposit form: † Please note: The charge will be made directly to your credit card; it will not appear on your onboard account. An alternate credit card may be used; however it must be shown to the Future Cruise Consultant to process the Future Cruise Deposit. Confirmations will be sent to the email address on file. This offer is combinable with most publicly offered fares and promotions. The Future Cruise Deposit is available to use only on new future bookings made after the purchase of the Future Cruise Deposit, and will be automatically refunded if not applied to a new booking created within two years from date of purchase. Once applied to a booking the Future Cruise Deposit is considered money and is subject to booking terms and conditions. Only one Future Cruise Deposit per person applied to a booking will provide onboard spending money. Onboard spending money is non-refundable and only applicable to each Future Cruise Deposit purchased and applies to the holder of the Future Cruise Deposit only, excluding 3rd and 4th berth guests. Onboard spending money is based on the ship’s onboard currency and is not redeemable for cash. Only sailing guests are eligible to purchase a Future Cruise Deposit. Future Cruise Deposits do not apply to bookings on Charter voyages. Reduced deposit and onboard credits do not apply to bookings 45+ days. The reduced deposit requirement for these bookings may vary based on booking dates, and a fare discount of 3% is provided. Future Cruise Credits are non-transferable. Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted November 3, 2023 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2023 And...just be aware that if you do cancel your current booking, you *might* lose any perks that were available with that one. There is NO guarantee that existing perks travel to the next booking.
