Winter/Spring cruising in French Polynesia and Hawaii 2025 Oceania Regatta

Recommended Posts

Depends on your definition of a short flight.  Melbourne to Honolulu non-stop is 10.5 hours, From Sydney it's just under 10 hours.

Tahiti to Australia is even worse, because there are currently no non-stop flights, and the connections in Auckland are not good. So it works out even longer than you think it will be.

A long flight to me is UK/Europe or NY.

Oceania has announced new winter/spring cruises of 10 to 18 days in 2025 in French Polynesia and Hawaii on Regatta. Sounds appealing with a short flight from Australia/NZ.

Thanks for that. 🙂

It made me look it up and they have a very nice cruise with 5 stops in French Polynesia and 5 stops in Hawaii including Nawiliwili.

Being a relocation it is a good price for Oceania.

Something to think about.

Hahaha, we've been to Nawiliwili a couple of times. On the second visit there we walked to the Marriott and infiltrated their pools - along with half the ship's crew!! The staff were very accommodating and although I'm sure we stood out as ship passengers, they still gave us a small punnet of fish food for their carp pond 🙂

You can make the journey part of your South Pacific holiday.  We flew from the Cook Islands to Tahiti.

Checked that you can still fly direct from Tahiti to the Cook Islands, and you still can.  Discovered that you can now fly from Hawaii to the Cook Islands. A number of airlines fly from Cook Islands to Australia/NZ.
