Laundry Room hours

Curious if anyone has recent information.  Are the laundry rooms on Spirit open 24 hrs, or do they have a restricted schedule?  TIA.

Definitely not 24-hours due to possible noise for nearby suites.  On most ships laundries are open from 8:00am to possibly 8:00pm. The rooms are usually well insulated with the door closed, though.

Some laundry rooms are open 24 hours that I know. If not you can use some of your Frequent Flyer Miles to get in...

I think they are usually 8am to 10pm.

Definitely open at 8am. Not sure if they close at 8pm or 10pm. Use of machines is free. Laundry detergent is provided. Bring your own fabric softener sheets.

We were on in July.  I recall hours being posted but the doors were never locked. We always book cabin next to laundry and don’t hear a thing. We do a load every morning at 5:30am before the gym this way we can pack light.

Even though detergent is supplied, you can use your own. We brought unscented/gentle tide pods because random detergent odors and ingredients can be bothersome.

I'm sure I read somewhere that a specific type of detergent has to be used.

OTC ones can affect the water filtration results.

I’m sure I have read the same. Biodegradable and suitable for the water recycling system.  
 

Please @RELS and others, don’t use your own detergent pellets without checking with the environmental officer.

I definitely remember seeing that sign as well.
