  1. I checked Google flights, selected my best option, told my TA, TA told SS ........ flights sorted .... minimal deviation fee 🙂
  2. I had an issue with their IT system and MySilversea and London refused point blank - and quite rudely - to help, saying I have a TA ... tell them to sort it!
  3. How odd? No change that I can see on a Samsung android tablet using the Samsung default browser. Usual 'buy me' intrusive pop ups though 🙄
  4. 10 transits .... east and west .. Either side would be fine but a clear view for'd is nice🙂 As stated the best views will be outside with freedom of movement.

  6. What about predicted changes/cutbacks that esteemed customers might foresee? I personally think .... Butlers will soon be for top grade suites only. Cattle class will go without with no fare reductions. Drinks with meals only .... a package for anything else. An upcharge for La Terraza?

  9. Agree 100% ! I have done exactly the same! At the mo, we have a cruise November and to my surprise they haven't tried to 'pull a fast one' on me. Yet? The level of customer services is going down rapidly ... IMHO.
  10. Further to my earlier comments ... my TA says ... I have spoken to Silversea who have advised the ticketing had not pulled through automatically so I do apologise. They are now ticketing the flight and within the next 24 hours you will be able to log onto the airlines website and manage your booking with your locator references. 😏👎🤞😵‍💫🤪
  11. We have a cruise in a matter of days and the flight tickets have not yet been issued, which KLM tells me they haven't been paid for? Sometimes I despair😏 RCCL = Really Couldn't Care Less 🙂
  12. Car motion sickness and sea motion sickness are totally different. I know plenty of people who suffer the former but never the latter.

Not that it helps but someone once pointed out that officially boarding begins at 2pm ... the same time as the restaurants close😏 We had a similar issue with excursions returning mid afternoon when the only option was a pizza or similar at the pool bar ... or room service which they say can be served anywhere?

  15. It has never affected me. My longest trip without touching land or having any opportunity whatsoever to leave the ship was 65 days and there was nothing like that at all when i eventually did get ashore. No time to feel ill... too much work🙄 It would be interesting to know why it affects people. Perhaps when on a very long trip your body just adapts?
  16. £100 per night minimum for b&b ... plus expenses.😁 I can drive to Druridge Bay or Cresswell in 10mins ..much nicer🙂and if the weather is that bad I can see the sea from the bedroom window ... sea fret permitting🤞
  17. I have re-jigged my figures and, as cannot commit before 01 October I will be far worse off so in this instance I am being priced out. On the positive side, in the grand scheme of things, by not going, I will save an arm and a leg as flying UK to Sydney ain't cheap😄
  18. I am / was looking at an Aus/Bali cruise in 2026. It is on the edge of fiscal responsibility, so removing the excursion and alcohol credits will make it unviable unless I make cutbacks elsewhere. The 'More' offer is still valid for a few weeks so I will need to make a decision sooner rather than later.
  19. The Southampton Port VTS website is /was the most accurate for berth assignment.
  20. I smile, and tell them on Day 1 that I am low maintenance and can/ will manage without them as I am sure that Mr & Mrs Demanding will need them more than I do. 😄 A wry smile usually appears. I thank them for their concern and assure them I will contact them if necessary. This started after our first one became too intrusive and started moving things, putting things away and rooting about for specs to clean, shoes to polish etc.
  21. An interesting array of opinions. We have a Ray cruise coming up soon and I have booked a K on a day near the end of the cruise. I can then monitor the menu and decide accordingly. As SWMBO is not enthralled with the idea of Japanese food, cancellation once on board is an option. I like the idea of popping in for lunch. Good option.
  22. I would agree ... I have just priced a Celebrity 8d and an Oceania 14 day. Minimal difference at the end of the day when I factored in gratuities, decent-ish wi-fi and a couple of speciality resteraunts. Also 1200 or 3000 pax ... bad enough but on a sea day? 😄
