Earlier or later flight out of FLL?

We're scheduled to return to port at 7am off the Celebrity Apex in January. There's a flight that leaves FLL at 10:45am. 

 

Assuming no unexpected events on board resulting in delays, is getting the 10:45am flight out of FLL doable, or should we choose a later flight.

If you can carry off your luggage at the earliest possible time and grab a cab, you can do 10:45.

It’s the unexpected events that can cause issues with trying to make early flights. Ship doesn’t clear customs, a security issue etc. all can delay departure. Been on 20 or so cruises and have been caught in delays twice. For those reasons we typically look for early afternoon flights home.

As mentioned, things can happen that delay you getting off the ship.  However, a week ago we disembarked at 7:50 am, found our luggage, caught a waiting taxi (lots available) to the airport, checked in at airline counter and were at the gate at 8:30 am!  So, a 10:45 flight is definitely doable.
