tauntoncheer Posted November 20, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2023 Has anyone done the Revetazon white water rafting excursion in Puerto Limon Costa Rica? We are a group in our mid to late 60s and have never done this before but wanted to try something new but wanted to make sure it wasn’t too dangerous!!! Any insight would be great. Thank you. crystalspin Posted November 20, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2023 Mary beat me to posting the board link (it is cleverly hidden in the Caribbean NOT Panama Canal section). You can browse a couple "pages" worth -- I saw a few posts about Puerto Limon -- and then post your own on the particular excursion if you don't find anything specific. Big Dawg CC Posted November 20, 2023 #4 Share Posted November 20, 2023 We did this trip about 10 years ago. I suspect a lot will be depend on weather and other conditions as to how fast the river is flowing. In our case, I would say we had Class III/IV, and it was pretty rough in some cases, but it was a lot of fun. A couple of people fell out of one boat, but they were quickly pulled back in by the guides. If you've never done white water rafting before, in my opinion, this one is a little rough for your first white water experience. Attaching some pictures to give you some idea.
