Another gorgeous day outside. A little too hot for me as we travel south but probably perfect for many.

I don't know where everyone came from, but this sea day feels a lot busier than yesterday.

That's funny (in a strange way) about the piano bar lady.  We were on the November 4-12 cruise and she was sick then as well.  She just stopped in the middle of a song and said she was losing her voice so she was just going to tell jokes instead of singing and playing.  Then another night while on stage in the theater before a production show, she was eating a piece of candy while singing and started choking on it and had to leave the stage in the middle of a song.  It was very odd.  Who eats candy while they are singing in front of a large crowd?  I was really not impressed with her at all.  The one complaint most people had was that she really didn't know many songs.  She would sing maybe half, then trail off and go on to the next one.

That's too bad that she can't be depended on to do her job. It's fallen out of fashion in recent years, but I am a firm believer in if you have a job, you need to show up and do it.

 

Sick is sick, but this is clearly a pattern of poor job performance if it is this ongoing. If it is truly an ongoing medical problem, Carnival needs to hire a replacement. 

 

That said, she was an amazing performer what little I got to see of her. Maybe she has been taking her days off and learning new material 😆

I tried it once, it was indeed good but I can't justify the cost.

 

The shrimp and grits  and crab and avocado sandwich are more reasonable and both very good. I may try one of those again next time.

OMG. I was on my own cruise and see this thread now and it's 21 pages long. It'll take a bit for me to catch up. Can you give me a spoiler alert and let me know if the rumor of the Magic's demise was greatly exaggerated or is it to be avoided now?

 

I would hate to read of my beloved ships decline, (it's our favorite ship).

Greatly exaggerated...but I would say there is room for improvement. 

 

The food has been absolutely better than recent reports would suggest. With the exception of a sub par Cucina experience the food has been great overall.

I actually walk on the  treadmill in the afternoon also.  I may be 75 but I'm fighting getting old!!

That was really cute with Santa coming down the glass elevators. I'll try to get a better angle next week so I can see how coming down.

 

Loaded my vifp freeplay because I saw my favorite machine. It didn't talk to me and tell me it's ready to pay me, but I will be ready when it is 😀
