Bridgetown--walk around town or an island bus tour?

We have never been to Bridgetown & aren't sure what to do.

We enjoy walking around a Caribbean town as long as it is organic--not just a manufactured port.

Is that possible in Bridgetown or should we take a bus tour to see the island...the description isn't very telling, so not super excited about it!

We have been to Barbados many times and looking forward to returning in 2025.

 

We love shopping in the Ship Terminal that is a bit of a walk from the ship but some ship have a shuttle bus to the Terminal.

 

We enjoyed taking a Cruise Ship Tour around the Island to get the feel and flavor of the Island. The Islanders are so wonderful and pleasant to meet and to talk too.

 

We have also enjoyed having Tea at the Sunbury Plantation part of a tour.

 

Also we have been and will be returning to Harrison's Cave, a wonderful place.
