Rare BirdTravels Posted December 9, 2023 Author #158 Share Posted December 9, 2023 The Norwegian Viva's Haven is truly a ship within the ship. With all Haven rooms in the Haven complex, Haven guests are separated with key-card access and a private elevator from the rest of the ship. On this cruise, 286 of the 3300 passengers were treated to NCL's finest luxury accommodations. Both the Haven public areas and the suites were designed by one of Italy's top designers, Piero Lissoni. Rare BirdTravels Posted December 9, 2023 Author #159 Share Posted December 9, 2023 (edited) An open concept Concierge desk provides a relaxed environment to get assistance with restaurant, shore excursion, show and other special request. It is a lot nicer than the fast food counters on other ships. Edited December 9, 2023 by BirdTravels

Rare BirdTravels Posted December 10, 2023 Author #165 Share Posted December 10, 2023 (edited) The Haven Restaurant is very large and comfortably compared to other big ships. It also has a lovely, covered (less susceptible to weather which makes the outdoor dining room on BA/BA+ ships unusable a lot of time), outdoor eating space for al fresco dining. The Medical Center has doctors and nurses available 24/7 for clinic and room-calls in case of emergency. The Medical Center does not accept insurance. All services must be paid for before you disembark. Yikes! I've never seen such a detailed menu breakdown like this. Of course the first item I read is rectal exam, ugh. I'll never complain about the menu prices at Cagney's again!

I know my sister and I would enjoy it, but our SOs not so much (so they can hit the Whiskey bar). Hope they have it on our March '25 cruise out of San Juan. The guys will just have to go hang in the whiskey bar while my sister and I paint...pretty sure they won't complain too much.
