Our guide Stefané was very knowledgeable, and talked about the volcano eruption of 1902, which destroyed the town of Sainte Pierre. These are the ruins of the theatre.

Ok thanks..I typically cruise on Celebrity and in the past almost every night they had a free slot tournament that was free and they would give out little prizes

For dinner last night, we tried something we’ve never done before. The Ultimate Balcony Dining Experience with the couple we’re travelling with. It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it. You meet with a staff member beforehand to set your menu, and you’re well looked after throughout your meal with dedicated wait staff. The food was impeccable!

The Britannia got the closer dock and the backdrop for the Barbados sign. I like the Union Jack on the P&O ships. I must say, the rear end of the Grand/Crown class is not the most aesthetically pleasing…

We did a snorkeling excursion with Barbados Blue Divers. There were only three of us, plus two people doing a scuba dive. Much better than the mob of 50 people on the other boats you can see in the pic.

I was really looking forward to some fish from Cruz’s fish shack, but we were too early,

and it was still closed!

 

 

We spent a week in Barbados in 2009, and Cuz’s was a daily stop. It hasn’t changed too much in almost 15 years. From 2009:

Back on board, we grabbed lunch on deck from the pizzeria and grill. Afterwards, we figured it was time to try the premium desserts. I have to say, I wasn’t impressed. Definitely a case of looks over taste. I think Princess did these more for insta likes than anything else.

Some lifeboat testing while in port today. I also noticed the Dolphin minisuites have new balcony furniture. We still have the aluminum-armed chairs and white tables.

Apparently the next steps in the refurbishing of balconies is the removal of the blue plastic, to be replaced by a material that resembles the mezzanine look of the Prominade on deck 7. The newer wood trimmed furniture does look nicer.

They can’t get rid of the blue plastic quick enough! I much prefer the balcony decking of the Royal class ships.

You can get Gelato at the International Cafe.
