NCL Joy - Cruising to Southhampton, England in January 2024 - I have questions

Has anybody checked this sailing, 1/11/24 a transatlantic cruise - prices are crazy low and the ship returns state-side approximately 3 weeks after arriving in Southhampton, England.  Maintenance or a charter NCL couldn't resist?  I don't remember seeing this before and I think I heard some ships were being  redeployed.  Any insights from those in the know?  Would you do it?  There are only sea days and lots of them! 

 

Color me intrigued.

There are a couple threads on it - she's going for drydock.  Expect some work to possibly be happening, venues to be closed, maybe shortages of things.

I've been looking at this cruise. I already love the Joy, Southampton and Miami.... my only this is, I don't gamble at all.... could I learn? Lol. 

 And I've always felt like I live in a construction zone, lol.

I know that the Owners suite will be going from 2 bedrooms to 3 bedrooms. Thats the only update I read about.

Planned changes include replacement of the VR Arcade & Galaxy Pavilion, creation of a thermal suite, part of Observation Lounge repurposed into new cabins and the replacement of the Laser Tag Arena with an expanded beach club.  Sounds like less stuff for kids and more for adults.
