Couple of newbie questions - kids related!

Are there any adult only venues on Encore (apart from the casino of course!)? Are kids generally allowed at every bar or are there age restrictions?

Regarding the kids club, is it possible to allow your child to be able to sign themselves in and out or must we be there to "release" him each time?

And finally, I know that minors are not allowed to set up an account for themselves on the NCL app. From what I understand, if we pay the fee to set up the onboard calling / messaging service, we will be able to allow our underage child to access the app so he can use the calling service. Is that correct? How do we do that as from what I can see, there isn't anything on the app that will allow me to issue the permission for my child. Will that just open up when we are on board and if so, will that only be for the calling service or will he then be able to use the whole NCL app? Can we purchase the calling service through the app or will we need to go to the internet cafe to have them set it up for us?

Thank you. So am I right in thinking that unless there is an age restricted party / entertainment going on, all bars are generally family friendly, is that correct? For some reason I assumed that The Cavern Club was adult only, is that not the case?

There are come venues which are adult only after a certain time. I’m not sure of any specifics on the Encore, but some places with entertainment will have that restriction.

I also believe that night clubs are adult only, but wouldn’t know from experience.

Does Encore have Spice H2O? That is an adult only area.

I was on the Encore last April. There are no dedicated adults only areas like Spice H20 on other ships. We do not have children, so I didn't pay much attention to where children were or were not allowed, but I think they will be welcome most places. I recall seeing kids most places on the ship, and most areas and activities seemed family friendly, but I guess some wouldn't be. For example, it's probably fine for a kid to be near the pool bar at 2 pm. However, maybe you don't want your kids in Maltings Whiskey Bar at midnight. Then again, I saw kids in the Cavern Club during karaoke and that was both a bar and fairly late at night.

Unrelated, but I noticed from the schedule someone posted that Royal Flush is still on the Encore. They are a rock cover band that played all over the ship,  and I really liked them. If you like that kind of music, I recommend seeing them play.

I don't think any venues outright ban children unless an adults only event is happening. As I mentioned in my other post, I saw kids in the Cavern Club at 10 or 11 pm at karaoke time.
