Looking for dining room info on Apex

We sailed on Beyond last December and really enjoyed going to all 4 dining rooms - never had a reservation, never had to wait in a long line.  We're going on Apex next month and our reservation says "late dining."  Does this mean we can't just go to any of the dining rooms when we want?  Have things changed?  Thanks for any advice.

My understanding is E class doesn't really follow set time so you can turn up when you want.

We were on the Apex in March. I made 6:PM ATD reservations pre cruise in our CP. Once on board we were advised reservations would not be honored for ATD and the Apex wasn't doing early or late TD either. We showed up every evening at 6 and were able to get the same two top table each evening with no waiting. We elected to go to the same MDR each evening.

Thanks for the information!  It was a bit confusing, I thought maybe things had changed since last year.  You've put my mind at ease.

This was true on our Apex Cruise in September too.
