Rare jxtgreek Posted December 27, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2023 Can any recent (post dry dock) give their impression of the ship. Did they notice any changes worth mentioning? Were the rooms refreshed? Any update would be appreciated. We have a cruise on the Paradise next month. Thanks.
nascartim Posted December 27, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2023 I personally didn't see any noticable changes. If I did not know in advance of a dry dock, I would have not known any different, and I have been on that ship multiple times. They made some changes to the serenity deck area, removed 1 hot tub, moved another, added more chairs. Added some space to the casino, I couldn't even figure out what it was. Replaced some carpet, I'm not sure where though. None of the changes made will change your cruise experience, most people just get worked up over minute details that most people will never notice. mz-s Posted December 27, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2023 Speaking of the things that cruisers can see - because I know they do a lot of behind the scenes stuff during dry-docks. Carnival really hasn't done major dry dock renovations since the COVID restart. Their dry-docks have been limited to fairly minor stuff - mostly just repainting the hull. The most extensive dry dock renovation I can think of is when they ripped out part of the night club on the Pride to add more cabins.
ray98 Posted December 27, 2023 #4 Share Posted December 27, 2023 I don't think much changed as it relates to the customer experience. The big hope from many was a conversion to create an Alchemy but it didn't happen.

I couldn't understand why it wasn't converted the dry dock prior to COVID when they added the Grand deck and all the other modernizations. The fact that it hasn't happened yet means it likely never will.
