Anyone tried Comfort Suites for Atlantis lately?

Last July (2023) we were booked at Comfort Suites like we had done 7 times before.   I read somewhere that Atlantas was no longer allowing CS guests to use their pools.  I called both Comfort Suites and Atlantas and was told that they no longer accept Comfort Suites Guests at the Atlantas pools.   I emailed them their comfirmation that said it was allowed.....but it didn't matter.   Even after talking to higher ups....they said we could use the pools at Comfort Suites only.   UGH.   So we cancelled.  When we went in July we asked again and were told they do not allow reciprocity between the two.  Be very careful booking CS.

Hmmm…that’s strange, because they still promote it heavily on their website.  I also called and emailed and they said they still offer it.  Plus, I know another person here on CC did it in September 2023, so that would have been after they told you no.

according to the message it says we cannot get the tickets the same day of the booking and then theyve added all those random charges. I am so against ever booking anything at any comfort suites anywhere. Im just glad I paid for the free cancellation with these clowns.

So a little update, I spoke to someone from CS Bahamas and they said they might not release the vouchers before checkin time at 3pm...

About the vouchers they said you can still book at CS but not the day of your travel to get the vouchers

Correct, you can still get passes but cannot book the hotel that morning and still get them. I was told on the phone to book at least 48 hours in advance.

As far as the voucher time, that’s what I’m hoping to find out as I’ve gotten some conflicting info.  So hoping to find someone who has been recently so I can get feedback.

I have written to them and they have confirmed to me in writing that that we can go there as early 8am for a pre check-in and get the vouchers but cannot guarantee that we get keys to room before 3pm.

Nothing has changed, you just need to book the room a couple of days before travel. You can even check out when you check in if you never plan on using your room (which might not be available until the afternoon). There have always been taxes and fees, it’s important to do the math to determine the cheapest way to see Atlantis (CS, resort for a day, ship’s excursion, Atlantis directly). We’ve done it through CS and through the cruise ship.

Would you mind terribly to forward that email to me so I can have it too in case they give me any trouble?  I would really really appreciate it.  My email is krdague@yahoo.com

  • 2 weeks later...

For anyone still doubting, this worked great for us last week. Real easy to get a taxi to the hotel, do the pre-checkin and check out at the same time. Quick walk to the Atlantis for wristbands and then enjoying the water park.

One word of caution, some of the rides were malfunctioning during our visit and had to be closed for short periods. They all reopened, but there was uncertainty about how long the repair would take and customer service was minimal.

Did you have any trouble with getting the vouchers from Comfort Suites when you arrived (instead of having to wait until 3 pm like some have been saying they were told)?

No trouble at all. There was another family doing the pre-checkin at the same time. Literally checked in and out at the same time, got the passes and walked to Atlantis.

Thank you!  How was the walk?  Where do you go when you arrive?  Any advice overall? (Doing this same thing in a few days.)

Just go to the front desk. They will direct you to a hallway and when you exit, you’re basically at Atlantis. In there, walk through the casino to the front desk area and downstairs to the desk for your wristbands. Only advice is to go early, best to get off the ship quickly so you can maximize your time at the hotel.

Thanks for this thread!  We are going over spring break this year.

1) Has anyone had any issues booking an Atlantis activity (eg, dolphins encounter) on the website and using thr ticket with your CS-issued daypass?

2) I assume you have to book the room for your whole part so you can get passes for everyone in it?  So I need to book for 4 guests if I need 4 passes?

Yes and each additional person will be charged taxes and fees.
