ak1229 Posted January 6 #1 Share Posted January 6 I am arriving in Miami at 10am same day as departure (i know not ideal but had to be). It is the Miami Marathon. I have booked NCL transport from airport to port, is this the best option? Will the NCL bus know the route to get us to the port in timely manner? TIA. Worse case scenario, the cruise line will wait for their shuttles.
Cienfuegos Posted January 7 #3 Share Posted January 7 The McArthur Causeway is a principal access to the cruise port. The preliminary 2024 Marathon planning guide says it should reopen for eastbound traffic about 8.15 am,
cruisewiththekids Posted January 14 #4 Share Posted January 14 Is the marathon going to be an issue for disembarking passengers going to the airport?

Unlikely, as the direction on the causeway to the airport would be west. The map suggests the runners should be out of the way by 8.15. But it could impact taxi, Uber / Lyft, buses etc coming in. In the past, Miami has been very solicitous of cruise passengers etc. I suspect there won't be any trouble.
