I need help narrowing down excursions. We are cruising NCL Jewel one way from Vancouver to Seward end of June/early July. I would love to be able to do all of these, but of course need to consider time/budget. Active 43F and 18M son. My son has no preference other than must do zip lining.

Ketchikan: *Son requested, this is firm!*

Rainforest Zip, Skybridge & Rappel Adventure (3.5 hrs)

Then explore Ketchikan by foot. Possibly Totem Bight SP.

Juneau: (11:00 - 9:00 pm)

Whale Watching cruise with Harv/Marv on 18 passenger boat at 11:30 am (4 hrs) (Total $375.18)

Taku Glacier Lodge/Flightseeing at 4:30 pm (3 hrs) (Total $1007.00)

5-Glacier Seaplane Expedition at 5:30 pm

40 mins (Total $689.00)

Skagway: *This is firm!*

Car rental thru Avis

Seward: (2 days after cruise)

Major Marine Tour (can get 20% off cruise staying at Harbor 360 Hotel)

6 hr Kenai Fjords Boat Tour (Total roughly $400)

Adventure 60 North

Kenai Fjords Boat tour/Kayaking Aialik Glacier 7:10 - 5:10 pm (Total $1131.42)

Seward Helicopter Tours

Bear Glacier 30 min flight at 10:45 am, 1:45, 2:45, or 4:15 pm

Total $770.13

Marathon Helicopter

Eastbound 40 min flight (over Chugach/Sargent Icefield)

Total $949.50

Thoughts? Experiences? I am only looking for one Flightseeing excursion, and will definitely do some type of boat tour in Kenai Fjords. THANKS!

youtube is your friend. Here is one that sold us on Seward Helo but haven't done it yet so can't recommend it. Start watching youtube. Just about every excursion will be on it. Look for personal ones not the ad ones and newer the better.

BEST WAY TO SEE ALASKA: Seward helicopter tour! (Episode 12) (youtube.com)

zip line in ISP if stopping there.

Are you going to Icy Straight Point? If so I would do whale watching there with the company that also gives you the drone footage.

Ask your flight tour options how often they have to cancel due to weather before booking. My guess would be Juneau would be the best bet for getting in the air.

If you’re looking for something to add to your day in Skagway there is a small hike to Lower Dewey Lake and if your truly adventurous go for a swim. I went in September my first year and it was freezing cold but so cool.

Thank you! We will not be stopping at ISP on this cruise, unfortunately.

But suggestions for hikes are most welcome!
