MeganNYC Posted January 19 #1 Share Posted January 19 Does anyone have experience with the on-board activities with a 12 year-old? It seems there are things for 3-12 year-olds, and separate activities for 13-17 year-olds. I'm wondering if your child found the activities for the younger set enjoyable or perhaps too "babyish"? If that was the case, is it allowed for 12 year-olds to join the older group? We will be on Viva, which doesn't seem to have a dedicated space for this age. Very grateful in advance for your advice! Rare BirdTravels Posted January 19 #2 Share Posted January 19 There are organized activities. A 12 year old can check themselves out after being there for 2 hours and they normally do and hang out with the other kids on the ship. Ice cream run. Just play. It’s fine. mjkacmom Posted January 19 #3 Share Posted January 19 A12 year old will not be allowed in the teen club. I have 5 kids who have been on 4 NCL cruises. They loved the kids club, loved the teen club, but those in the 10 - 12 age group went once and then chose to not go back. This was the case on DCL too, it’s just the age. Fortunately #2 had a 12 year old friend on a cruise, and #3 #4 #5 were 12 10 10 on a cruise and hung out together.
